Things to Do at Night in Bali

From rooftop bars to late-night street food, here's how to experience Bali after the sun goes down.

Best nightlife in Bali

01

Potato Head Beach Club

Seminyak's iconic sunset spot with infinity pools, great DJs, and a design-forward vibe. Get there by 4pm for a daybed, order the frozen Margarita, and watch the sky turn pink.

02

Jenja

A multi-level nightclub in Seminyak with international DJs and a late-night crowd that actually knows how to party. Thursday nights are the best. Solid sound system and no pretension.

03

Single Fin

A clifftop bar in Uluwatu overlooking a world-class surf break. Sunday sessions with live DJs and sunset views are legendary — the frozen daiquiris are dangerously easy to drink.

04

Fire Dance at Uluwatu Temple

The Kecak fire dance performed at sunset on a clifftop stage is Bali's most dramatic cultural performance. Arrive an hour early for a good seat — the finale with the fire dancer is extraordinary.

05

La Favela

A Seminyak bar with an eccentric maximalist interior — think overgrown jungle meets vintage shop. The cocktails are creative, the DJ is always good, and the outdoor garden is atmospheric at night.

06

Old Man's

Canggu's original bar, right on Batu Bolong beach. It's divey, loud, and packed with surfers. Wednesday quiz nights and Friday live music are local traditions. Cheap Bintang and good vibes.

07

Ulu Cliffhouse

A stunning clifftop venue in Uluwatu with pools, cabanas, and sunset DJ sessions. It's more upscale than Single Fin but equally spectacular. The cocktail menu and the views are both top-tier.

08

Night Market at Gianyar

A sprawling local night market near Ubud where you eat what Balinese families eat. The sate lilit (minced seafood satay) and martabak (stuffed pancake) are incredible and cost almost nothing.
