Dubai Fountain Shows
Every evening from 6pm, free 5-minute shows every 30 minutes. The world's largest choreographed fountain system shoots water 150 metres into the air. Best viewed from the waterfront promenade.
Walk the Dubai Marina
A 7km waterfront promenade lined with cafes, public art, and superyacht views. The evening walk when the skyscrapers light up is stunning. Free outdoor gym stations along the path.
Al Fahidi Walking Tour
The historic district offers free self-guided walking through wind-tower houses, art galleries, and the Dubai Museum exterior. The architecture tells the story of pre-oil Dubai. Mornings are coolest.
Beach Day at JBR
Jumeirah Beach Residence's public beach is free and well-maintained. Clean sand, calm water, and the Ain Dubai (world's largest Ferris wheel) as a backdrop. Showers and changing rooms available.
Ras Al Khor Flamingo Hide
A free wildlife hide where you can watch thousands of flamingos in a lagoon right next to the city. The contrast of pink birds against the skyline is surreal. Binoculars are provided at the hide.
Gold Souk Window Shopping
Walk through Deira's Gold Souk to see an incredible display of jewellery and bullion. The sheer volume of gold is astonishing. You don't need to buy — just browsing is an experience.
